Australian Chiropractors are highly educated, undergoing 3 years of a Bachelor of Science degree and 2 years to achieve a Masters in Chiropractic. During this 5 year study of human Anatomy, Physiology, Neurology and much more, each Chiropractor has completed 12 months surpervised skills practice at the University's Student Chiropractic Clinic where students treat the public (much like a doctor's hospital training). An Australian Chiropractor is Accredited, Registered and Licensed by the Chiropractic Board of their State or Territory.
That is why you may have CONFIDENCE in the knowledge and skills that every Australian Chiropractor has attained!
A thorough Examination will always be performed before a course of treatment to accurately diagnose the state of your muscular-skeletal and nervous system. This should involve the following activities:
Course of Treatment
After a thorough examination, the Chiropractor will go through a Report of Findings with you. During this visit the Chiropractor will illustrate the areas of concern most likely using the x-rays as a visual. A course of treatment will be recommended depending on the degree of misalignment of your skeletal structure to try and regain optimal movement of your joints and the optimal flow of your nervous system. Your Chiropractor will explain to you the inter-relationship between your various body functions and how one area of concern may affect another area.
How much Chiropractic Care is required?
The number of visits you make to your Chiropractor depends on the nature of your condition and your health goals. Many people use Chiropractic as part of a preventive health care routine, scheduling chiropractic appointments on a regular basis to keep their bodies functioning at their best. Others seek care and treatment for specific conditions with the primary goal of treatment being pain relief. It is important for you to discuss your objectives with your Chiropractor in order to develop a treatment plan that works best for you.
Keep in mind, healing rates vary from person to person. Children tend to respond more quickly to treatment, whereas adults and seniors may respond more slowly. A good rule of thumb is that the longer the spine has not been working properly, the more extensive the care plan may be to achieve desired results.
